Selection and quality
What languages does the staff speak?
The short answer
Hungarian and English as standard, and in the Professional package English is a baseline requirement rather than a surcharge. Other languages, typically German, French, Italian or Spanish, are available on request and carry a 15% surcharge because they narrow the selection. Language needs have to be stated when booking, as they are a selection criterion rather than an option added later.
Why that is
It's worth distinguishing conversational level from professional use. At a registration desk, conversational English is enough. In a protocol situation or at a technical exhibition, the person needs the vocabulary of the field too, and that is a different selection.
Interpreting is a separate profession: if the talks need translating, hire interpreters, not hostesses. This is worth watching, because confusing the two tends to surface on the day of the event, when it can no longer be solved.
