What this means in District VIII
The district's event traffic comes from its universities, the National Museum and the offices of the Corvin quarter. University conferences are a different requirement from corporate ones: more parallel sessions, poster areas, and usually a tighter budget, which pushes the booking toward the Essential package.
The Corvin quarter's offices, by contrast, bring classic corporate programmes: standing receptions, product launches, open days. Keleti station nearby makes the district easy to reach, which also helps when assembling a larger crew.
Typical venues in the district
- University conference centres
- Event spaces around the Hungarian National Museum
- Offices and the shopping centre in the Corvin quarter
- Hotels near Keleti station
When it's busy
Follows the academic calendar: September to November and February to April are densest.
Common question
What headcount does a university conference need?
Two registration staff per hundred attendees is the rule of thumb, plus one person per breakout room. At university events it's the number of parallel sessions that drives headcount, not attendance alone.
