Seating plan
Definition
The seating plan allocates guests to tables and seats, and is the base document of any seated event.
In practice
A seating plan isn't only protocol: it's how service knows where the special-diet guest sits, and how the welcome hostess can make decisions at the door. If it exists only in the organiser's head, the entrance jams and the gluten-free plate arrives at the wrong table.
