Entry control
Also known as: Check-in · Door control
Definition
Entry control is verifying that arrivals are entitled to attend, by ticket, wristband, invitation or accreditation.
In practice
Entry is both a security and a guest-experience question. Large crowds need several parallel gates, and staff need explicit instructions on what to do with an invalid ticket or a guest who isn't on the list.
