Lead capture
Definition
Lead capture is recording prospects' details at an event, with predetermined questions, so the conversation can continue afterwards.
In practice
Lead capture works when you decide before the event what you record and with what. Collecting business cards usually produces something unusable, because it never becomes clear who asked what. If you tell stand staff what to record, they will attend to it: people focus on what gets counted.
