Definition
A venue walk-through is a pre-event site visit where the crew learns the routes, access rules and safety requirements.
In practice
At larger events and in industrial settings this isn't a luxury: narrow staircases, loading windows and restricted zones cannot be learned live. It usually happens the day before, and it saves exactly the time that would otherwise go on finding your way around on the day.
